I just finished watching Knocked Up for the second time and it was pretty much as good as I remembered it from the theater. It covered a very serious topic with such humor, but it also had its serious moments. Or as Gates put it, "the train wreck in the middle."Basically the premise is this Jewish guy, Ben (Seth Rogen) has drunken sex with Alison (Katherine Heigl) and gets her pregnant. However neither one knows how to handle this unexpected situation since Alison has a budding career at E! and Ben is just a stoner trying to make a Mr. Skin replica site.
If you've seen a Judd Apatow movie (the director) then you pretty know what kind of movie to expect. The guy also directed 40-year-old Virgin and Anchorman. Rogen and Rudd somehow have a really good chemistry in every single one of their movies (see 40-year-old Virgin). But other than Rudd and Jason Segel (of Apatow's TV show Freaks and Geeks), Rogen really doesn't have any chemistry with any of his other stoner friends, although they are pretty funny at times.
This movie taught me a very important life lesson: get a girl pregnant and she will come to love you ... in time.
