League of Immortals Induction

Dallas had been abuzz over the likely Super Bowl berth of the 2007 Dallas Cowboys, but Gates and I never really understood how people could think that. Anyone who's watched the team this season knows they've had flashes of brilliance but were never great like the Patriots. The Cowboys squeaked through some really crappy games against some really crappy teams and when they finished the year like they did with losses to Philadelphia and Washington, it was only a matter of time before they lost to New York. The Giants were 8-1 on the road this season (the loss was at Texas Stadium) and they were peaking at a time when the Cowboys were slumping. The one thing I know I'll take away from Sunday was the greatest postgame press conference from Terrell Owens. I've had a lot of fun mimicking his crying and muttering support for his teammate Tony Romo but Owens worked his ass off to get back into shape for the game after suffering a high ankle sprain a few weeks ago. Sprains aren't fun, I know. I can only imagine how much grit TO played with Sunday as he was still recovering from the injury. And unlike the previous TO incarnations, he defended Tony Romo and told everyone the burden of the loss should be put on the entire team's shoulders. Nice to see this new TO.

"It's unfair...it's just unfair. He's my teammate.....He's my quarterback."
